Start spreading the news... The best part about New York City is the fact that it is unlike any other place. New York City, being the cosmopolitan capital of the world, is the city that never sleeps and is known as being the mecca for any and every industry (finance, real estate, hospitality, fashion, art, media, medicine, law, tech, etc.). It is as iconic in its history as it is in its modernity, and it is as grand as it is divided. It's the place that I consider home and a city that will always win my heart if stacked up to any other city. Simply put, I have tried to leave multiple times, but I find myself coming back for more. New York is split into 5 boroughs (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, and Staten Island), and Manhattan is split into 23 or so neighborhoods. Within those neighborhoods are several different districts, squares, and heights. For instance, within Gramercy there is Flatiron, and within Flatiron there is Madison Square Park, and so on. It is built entirely on a grid-like structure, so navigation around the city is very easy, except when you get below 14th street when the grid disappears. JFK to Midtown takes about 45-60 minutes and is $80 by Uber. If you pool, it's half the price. If flying domestically, you should try and fly into LGA since it takes about 30 min and is $50 by Uber and an easier airport to navigate. I don't know anyone that flies into Newark.

Neighborhoods Uptown- Murray Hill, Hell's Kitchen, Midtown West, Midtown East, Central Park, Upper East Side, Upper West Side, Harlem/ East Harlem.
Districts: Flatiron District, Meatpacking District, Garment District // Squares: Union Square, Madison Square, Times Square, Herald Square, Lincoln Square, Washington Square, Thompson Square, Hanover Square,Stuyvesant Square // Heights: Morningside Heights, Washington Heights
