This fall, I have really looked forward to wearing beautifully crafted dusters and jackets that are so special that they have the ability to tie your entire wardrobe together, so much so, that you don't really want to take them off. I recently pulled out this incredibly crafted Altuzarra Navy Satin Coat with its striking Python Strip complimenting the front closure and can't seem to put it down. Joseph Altuzarra is brilliant and in a mere few years of launching Altuzarra, he has become one of fashion's most interesting, coveted and serious up-and-coming designers. Mr. Altuzarra has taken home almost every major award and recognition that one could imagine from the Forbes 30 Under 30 list to the CDFA accolades. If you could see the fine detail and the amount of craftsmanship that make up my coat, you would have an equal amount of respect for his vision and creations, as I do.
Lately, I've been feeling incredibly monochromatic and I can't decide if that's just my mood in general, or if it's because I really do adore sporting all one color. I've been doing this new thing of wearing head-to-toe, one-color, a lot lately and I have to admit, it's been really exciting to me. Grey is such a great color for fall. It's a sharp alternative to black and can be paired back just like any basic; simply, it's one of my favorite colors. When I was studying fine art at Parsons, our Professor would make use learn day in and day out the different variations and tones of grey. For those of you that are unaware, the list goes on for eternity, and for those wondering, there is definitely more than fifty shades.
