I'm totally obsessed with the trend currently surfacing on couture-esq full circle skirts with intricate details. I had been looking for one for a while to go with my ever-dainty lace blouses for Paris, and was in total dismay when I couldn't find one that wasn't going to bleed my wallet. A slight fret later, I discovered one during the Spring at my local H&M that completely topped my fancy.
I wore this skirt when I went to Mass in the countryside of France with a netted top from Fendi, and I'm wearing it again with my proper white collared shirt. After Mass in the country concluded, there was a slight drizzle in the air, so galavanting back to the car though the cobbled-stone streets created this really beautiful sway. A sway that was similar to one that you would see in a slow motion film when the girl is running ahead and the boy is chasing after her. It was a surreal moment; as this play-by-play actually happened in real life, hand-in-hand. Except once we got to the car, we realized we had exited without saying our farewells to the entire village that attends Mass and we had to run back and converse with generations upon generations of family; with hugs, kisses and chatter fully included. After watching these forty-some locals that occupy the village chat as though they are all related, standing in the drizzling rain seemed totally worth it and I skipped back to the car like I was in some sort of Jane Austen novel. Sometimes I have this look about me that makes it seem that I am not paying attention, but in reality, I am remembering every single detail and storing it in my memory for time to come.
The sharpness and versatility of the white collared shirt explains its perennial allure. Carolina Herrera has dominated this style and it is beautiful in every sense. Together, they complete the perfect Lady look. I quite enjoy looking poised and proper and Lady like. My white collared shirt is from Uniqlo (we already know my obsession from my post here), my bowed heels are Valentino (similar), my handbag and sunnies are Chanel and the pearls are my mothers.
X, Lady Coco.
