I've been acting as quite the philobat lately, not really knowing what direction a few things are headed, but I quite like it that way. Uncertainty is obviously extremely taxing on your heart, body and mind. You never know what you are going to do next and it's difficult with this lifestyle to maKe concrete decisions. But certainty for me, is boring.
Earlier this month, I made a stance to my company about potentially allowing me to move to London. I'm not looking to be full-time, or at least not for now, but potentially part-time, so that I can support our growing EMEA business, have some quiet time for me to really dive my new role leading marketing, as well as get a change of scenery. London is one of my favorite cities on the planet, but unfortunately I've spent hardly any long-term time there. So I'm heading to London for a few weeks- to explore, to adventure and to fall in love (with London). Meanwhile, I've purchased Patti Smith's new novel*, M Train, at the advice of my dear friend Bobo, and I look forward to diving into it on my journey abroad.
My mood lately revolves around a sophisticated dynamic. Since I am still trying to wrap my head around all the uncertainty in my life, my look for fall is evolving as quickly as the leaves are changing. I chose a lovely cumin Max Mara silk blouse with a fun Marc Jacobs pencil skirt, leopard patent Christian Louboutin's that I've had since I was in undergrad and a bold ethnic necklace from Amrita Singh.
*Patti Smith is brilliant. Just Kids is one of my favorite books and I encourage everyone to read it too
