Here’s a quick snapshot of some of my days spent on the North Shore of Maui. The colors are some of the most vibrant and beautiful colors I have ever seen. Surprisingly enough, out of the forty-some odd countries I have traveled to or lived in, I have never even been to Hawaii, even if it is a state in my own country. When I was growing up, Mexico was always the closest place to travel to if I wanted some rays and beaches. However, I have to say, magic exists and it’s currently residing in Maui.
In case you missed my previous post about Maui X MaiTai Global, I just got back from holiday with my dear friends with this non-profit that I am an Entrepreneur in Residence for. It’s filled with some of the best and the brightest in entrepreneurship, from innovative tech billionaires to up-and-coming millennials, and hosts kiteboarding events every few months at exotic locations around the globe. I wasn’t planning on attending Maui originally, due to my intense work schedule, but how could I not go?
As noted, this was my first time to Hawaii and I had no idea what it was going to be like. I had ideas from viewing friends postcards and stories from my dear friend Corey (whose parents own an amazing luxury boutique resort if anyone is interested), but my eyes were open ready to consume and consume they did. We were stationed on this beach and couldn’t have been more blessed with such great wind for kiting. I was lucky enough to have my lovely friend Sarah Son around to snap some photos of me along our journey.
