Just checking-in with another post from Lake Como, where we have spent a few days exploring villas, hopping around the lake on beautiful wooden Riva Yachts, and have eaten our way through the best that Northern Italy has to offer. Sarah and I have been having some detox lunches at some of the hotel restaurants that we've been exploring, which are something along the lines of a frothy salad with green beans & fresh herbs, a side of steamed vegetables, and a light linguine clam pasta. I try and follow this up with peppermint tea to offer symptomatic relief from indigestion and the common feeling of fullness that one gets when eating constant carbs. Here I was having my breakfast and sipping on some freshly squeezed vegetable juice with linseed oil to keep energy levels up, since we haven't been taking any time-outs. I wish I could say my croissant was as good as they are in France, but there are few and far in between that compare to my beloved Parisian bakeries that I love oh so much. What's great is that besides the fact that we've been eating nonstop, I actually feel lighter and better than I do in America. I'm positive that it has to do with the freshness of produce and the lack of chemicals they put on their food, but what do I know...
If you've been following on Instagram stories, you've seen our day-to-day movements (which has been quite a lot)! We haven't been wasting any time, as we both love to explore as much as possible in foreign territory. I've been to Lake Como a handful of times, but it was Sarah's first time visiting. As you can see from my last post, we spent a lot of time in Tremezzo and I'm going to post another post soon of our time at Bellagio. At the moment, I'm working on a few very different projects and it's been hijacking my attention span (even on holiday!), so apologies if I've been somewhat quiet. In the coming months, there are things that I would like to change in my life. One of them in particular is that I would really like to devote more time to developing lines and products that I wish to produce. My best friend Bethany has poured her time and resources into the R&D of a product she is releasing soon and I couldn't be more adamant about my support and encouragement of her work. She's really something special. I can't wait to show you all what it is.
