Ever since I was a little girl, I have always been known to create things. Whether it be businesses, clothing or experiences, I would create it. I have always been frustrated when I couldn't find something that I wanted, so I learned early on the craft of creating it myself.
Every since I was a little girl, I have also been known to collect things. Whether it be polished-silver antiques that I find at the auction house, typography prints or vintage clothing. The way I see it, everything that you have is part of a collection. The things that I own represent a collection of my life and act as its own portfolio. It's the way I see the world, curated one piece at a time and if I purchase something new, that purchase needs to fit into my world.
I was ransacking some of my vintage collection and discovered this quilted coat from the 1960s that I haven't seen in years. I ended up placing it in a drawer where it gained shelf-life until I revisited it again. I must admit, it's positively stunning and the prints make my mind drift to the 60s where geometric and square dominated everything from textiles to home decor to buildings.
