Okay, you all are in for a treat. I am known for making some pretty epic playlists (fully aware this is self-promotion) but you can't help it when it's true. My playlists are off the charts and I have just created another one called, "We Exist" that is totally dominating my existence right now. I have sourced inspiration from my super rad friends around the globe; from my amazingly creative friend in Australia to my darling Bobo in Los Angeles to my favorite NYU friend that works in Private Equity that is globetrotting around on business trips to London every other day it seems and this is what I've come up with. Total insanity.

I also am obsessing over my new Golden Goose sneakers. How could one not? They are positively perfect. Anna Dello Russo has started a trend of dresses and sneakers ages ago that I just cannot ignore any longer. Please see Exhibit A, for the ultimate vacationing outfit.

This is a fairly emotional week for me since my best friend on the entire planet is moving around the world, but life is totally excellent and filled with so much adventure. I am so excited for her as she goes off on her new journey. I recently got her a book by Italo Calvino called Cosmicomics. I picked it up in the Soho bookstore, McNally Jackson, and spent the better half of an hour finding the perfect story for my sweet Bethany. A very helpful and knowledgeable associate named Kevin took the time to understand what it was that I was looking for and he explained several different stories to me until I found the perfect one (genuine care and interest that doesn't normally happen in NYC, so will definitely be seeing Kevin again); it was a journey in itself and one that I will cherish forever.

Like everything else in my life, I also obsess over curating the books I give to my friends. As an unspoken rule of gift giving, the same thought and imagination that goes into selecting a present should also go into its presentation and thus the book was given with a bright green and white polka dot ribbon; the hue representing far too much significance in our relationship to try and explain. After purchasing the book and realizing that there's probably some sort of hidden rule around giving a book without first reading it (faux book-giving!), I of course, grabbed a copy myself. I've just finished Calvino's exciting tale and it has me thinking and realizing that there are changes all across the horizon lately. It has completely filled my spirits with energy and made me so incredibly thrilled, fortunate and blessed about my next adventure as well. On the whole, Bethany's departure happens to be in concurrence with my other amazing friend Brittany, who has just left the orange box for the double C's and is going to absolutely kill it. She's another one of my talented, gorgeous, inspiring and totally rockstar friends. Her blog, The Closet, is filled with daily photos from her walk-in closet, a total luxury in NYC and one that everyone is jealous of. You can also find The Closet and Coco Zaza hanging out having dinner dates all around the globe, as we are, naturally, jet-setters.

We Exist on this planet to create beautiful things and to live a totally awesome, meaningful and happy life. We Exist to make an impact with something bigger than us. We Exist to make change. We Exist to follow our dreams; dreams that may seem unreasonable, unrealistic and even crazy. As I have told my friends numerous times and as I will continue telling them, I cannot be more adamant in my support and encouragement of their journeys. It is very special, moving onto a new chapter in your lives, so please never let anyone disparage your zeal. Your journeys will, I hope, open your eyes to more of your purpose and offer you a newfound liberty. New opportunities, new adventures and new chapters may seem a little crazy, but it's the crazy things that keep you progressing forward and it is why We Exist. What an excellent start to the week, an excellent new beginning and an excellent life. Here's some new music for you, so that you glue yourself to your computer and hand your soul over to your new companies for the next few months and rightfully so. Common, that's supposed to be funny, because we all know that it's TRUE.

Go forward and prosper my dear friends. And particularly to you, my best friend, I am, with my my entire heart, so incredibly happy and proud of you. What an effing blessed week.
