Paris is synonymous with fields of flowers and some of the most beautiful examples can be found at the Jardin des Tuileries, or, alternatively in their exceptional vintage boutiques that trump anything you can find in America. I love The Tuileries, as much as I love eating macaroons at Pierre Hermé nearby; if you know my addiction to Pierre Hermé macaroons, then you must realize my love for this landscape. For those unfamiliar with Paris, The Tuileries is the beautiful garden between the Louvre and the Place de la Concorde in the 1st arrondissement. The jardin became open to the public after The French Revolution, and has since been a place where runners go in the morning, tourists go in the afternoon and Parisians stop by in the evening for a stroll; or vice-versa, versa-vice, or whatever.
I really like mixing prints with prints and creating looks that don't necessarily, at first glance, go together. I have hijacked this skirt from my mother, as she looks adorable in all things fitted and flouncy. Me, on the other hand, I usually avoid things that look overly girly, but the cut-out details on the bottom hem definitely make up for its minor shortcomings. Phillip Lim silk tee's are self-explanatory and have taken over a large chunk of my work/ play tops. I ask of you; try something new today and mix a print, or two, or three.
