I purchased this Turban a few years ago when I was in Las Vegas for a trade show, but I have yet to wear it until now. I left it at my friend Meg’s apartment a year or so ago thinking she may wear it when she went to Italy, but it ended up being a little too eccentric for the Tuscan villages. I have an absolute obsession with Missoni’s woven zig zags and sparkly prints, especially for the summertime, and this turban brings together everything I love, but in an accessory!

Here I am- galavanting around Maui’s North Shore; exploring, adventuring, kiting, tanning and loving life. When I go to the beach, I generally like to wear layers since I am a hypochondriac and always assume that I will contract melanoma and unfortunately I received a horrific sun poisoning on this trip, so much so, that I have second degree burns! Although being in the sun is great for your health and you get so much Vitamin D, be careful about going out without putting proper sun coverage on your skin. For this very reason, I generally wear tons of layers and a hat and sunglasses to cover my face. Make sure to keep reapplying sunscreen multiple times throughout the day and applying fresh aloe leaf in the evenings.
