The French countryside is by far of my new favorite locations. With a cluster of tastefully appointed stone cottages and gravel streets, it's the perfect place to unwind and get away from the city life and relish in a peacefully enjoyable country evening with those near and dear to you. I've been in Paris less than one week, but escaping for holiday was just what I needed to get my bearings. You don't have to be a resident to enjoy and appreciate its many bucolic charms. Serene people, whimsical sunsets and intoxicatingly playful conversation that prolongs for hours makes up this magical place.
We travel into town to get our fresh bread, cheese, vegetables, fruits, herbs and meat and the very essence of having your own farm-to-table sensibility and sustainability of food is such a great position to be in. We picked up Crendre Chevre Fromage, a goat cheese far superior to any goat cheese offered in The States from a local and these amazing white asparagus that are grown in this region of France. We were completely off the grid and I think escaping away from technology is a great way to realize and recognize this beautiful world that we live in and cherish the relationships that surround you. From celebrating every single meal with apéritifs and desserts, to three-generation dinner parties at nearby chateaus, to Mass with the entire village- it is a place dedicated to living life to the fullest and I am grateful for every moment of it.
